A three-hour massage in Amsterdam: a whole evening spent in your room
Three hours is no longer a session squeezed into an evening; it is the evening. Guests who choose it usually want a night in that has its own shape, with pauses, conversation and no sense of the clock.
While you read
Nothing here asks you to decide anything. The whole page can be read and left alone.
A three-hour massage in Amsterdam sits between the ordinary lengths and the overnight. It is long enough to include rests between parts of the session, a pause for water and conversation in the middle, and an unhurried end, yet short enough to finish before midnight if it starts in the early evening. Experienced travellers book it for the evenings they intend to remember: an anniversary of something, the last night of a long trip, the night after a decision has been made.
Shaping three hours
Nobody expects three hours of continuous massage, and nobody should. The evening usually begins with the slow start, continues with a long first session, and then pauses: a shower, a glass of water, a little conversation in the armchair by the window. The second part is slower than the first. The second half can lean towards whatever you enjoyed most in the first, if you say so. An armchair and a small table in the room make those pauses easier to enjoy.
Why a three-hour massage in Amsterdam always carries a deposit
A booking of three hours or more takes a large part of a therapist's evening, and nothing else can be fitted around it. For that reason every booking of this length carries a deposit of half the fee, whether it is your first or your tenth, and whether you book a week ahead or the same afternoon. The other half is settled once she is with you. The deposit entry explains when and how it is paid, and the cancellation policy sets out what happens if plans change.
What it costs in principle
Three hours cost three times the hourly rate printed on every profile, and each further hour is charged at the same rate. Nothing is added for the late hour or the weekend. The overnight is a different arrangement, a fixed block of eight hours with its own figure, and it is described on the overnight page.
Preparing the room for a long evening
Over three hours a room cools as the night outside cools, so set the heating a little higher than you would for a shorter booking and keep a dressing gown within reach for the pauses. Ask housekeeping for two more pillows in the afternoon; they make the rests more comfortable. Have water and something light to eat in the room, because a long evening on an empty stomach leaves you tired rather than rested.
Who books three hours
Mostly guests who have booked with the house before and know what they like. A first booking of three hours is perfectly possible, but some guests prefer to start with ninety minutes or two hours and come back to the longer length later in the trip.
